Job Title: Loan Servicing Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Loan Servicing Specialist to manage client inquiries, oversee loan closing and disbursement activities, and maintain accurate loan documentation. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with lending policies while supporting daily loan-servicing operations.
Responsibilities
- Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding billing statements, account status, and account adjustments.
- Address questions related to promissory notes and the loan-funding process.
- Monitor the loan-service inbox and ensure requests, documents, and deliverables are captured.
- Manage Core Lending loan-closing activities and verify the accuracy of closing information in original documentation and the lending platform.
- Support loan disbursements and validate wire and ACH instructions, ensuring disbursements align with approved credit policies.
- Coordinate requested disbursements with the Finance Department.
- Conduct collection calls in accordance with FDCPA standards and process returned mail, late notices, account changes, and servicing documentation.
- Maintain timely communication with the Client Services Department and handle a high volume of daily phone and email activity.
- Maintain accurate borrower and loan records within internal systems.
- Review and process account maintenance requests, including address and banking changes.
- Ensure compliance with internal lending policies and servicing procedures.
- Assist with loan documentation review and quality assurance.
- Track, organize, and maintain loan-related files and correspondence.
- Escalate borrower issues and delinquency concerns as appropriate.
- Support department reporting and operational initiatives.
- Partner with Finance and Client Services teams to ensure timely resolution of borrower requests.
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting service-level expectations.
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years experience within Loan Collections, Loan Closing, Quality Control, Client Services.
- Experience in loan servicing or lending operations.
- Proven client or borrower service experience.
- Familiarity with loan documentation and closing processes.
- Experience in collections and knowledge of FDCPA standards.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Experience handling wire or ACH information.
- Ability to handle high-volume phone and email communication.
- Strong administrative organization and follow-through skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
