AxiomSL / Adenza ControllerView Developer

This is a hands-on core development role, not an application or production support role. The developer will independently design, build, test, and deploy AxiomSL / Adenza ControllerView regulatory reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and maintain solutions using current AxiomSL / Adenza ControllerView releases, including data sources, data models, portfolios, aggregations, shorthand logic, business rules, workflows, and Free Form and Tabular Reports.
- Translate regulatory, functional, and data requirements into technical designs, mappings, calculations, validations, and reporting workflows.
- Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL, ETL processes, and Unix/Linux shell scripts used to source, transform, reconcile, and deliver regulatory data.
- Perform source-to-report data analysis, reconciliation, drill-down validation, and root-cause analysis for data-quality and reporting discrepancies.
- Build solutions with traceability, lineage, auditability, maker-checker controls, and evidence required for governance, internal audit, and regulatory review.
- Prepare technical specifications, data mappings, deployment instructions, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Create and execute unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases; support user acceptance testing and maintain evidence of results.
- Manage ControllerView object migration, release onboarding, environment promotion, scheduling, and production deployment in accordance with SDLC and change-management controls.
- Resolve defects in developer-owned solutions and provide limited post-deployment stabilization; routine monitoring and ticket-based support are out of scope.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, data providers, infrastructure teams, auditors, and vendor support to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
- Participate in Agile delivery, peer reviews, estimation, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement of development and operational practices.

Required Qualifications

- 6–8 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on AxiomSL / Adenza ControllerView development in a banking or financial-services environment.
- Proven hands-on experience independently designing and developing end-to-end ControllerView solutions; support-only experience does not meet this requirement.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills, including complex data analysis, reconciliation, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with ETL concepts, enterprise data warehouses, Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and enterprise job schedulers such as Control-M or Autosys.
- Working knowledge of regulatory reporting controls, data lineage, data quality, governance, and production support practices.
- Experience delivering regulatory reports in one or more jurisdictions, such as U.S. Federal Reserve and FFIEC reporting, Basel III/IV, EMEA COREP/FINREP, or APAC regulatory reporting.
- Ability to read business and functional requirements, challenge gaps, and independently develop a technically sound solution aligned with architecture and coding standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Controller View 10 or 11, including enhanced import/export, reporting, workflow configuration, lineage and dependency tracking, troubleshooting, and release maintenance.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code-quality controls, and DevOps release practices.
- Experience with regulatory change delivery, platform upgrades, taxonomy updates, remediation programs, or modernization of legacy reporting processes.
- Knowledge of capital, liquidity, counterparty credit risk, financial reporting, or trade and transaction reporting.

Success Competencies

- End-to-end ownership of design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while communicating risks, decisions, and dependencies early.
- Attention to detail and a control-focused mindset appropriate for regulatory reporting.
- Ability to explain complex data and technical issues clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
