About the role
We are looking for a Digital Solutions Architect to design, deliver and evolve digital solutions across data, applications, platforms and integrations.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful digital initiatives from concept through to delivery. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to understand business challenges, turn requirements into effective technical solutions and help embed digital capabilities that deliver measurable value.
You will have the scope to influence how technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric and Azure are applied across the business. You will also support citizen developers, share your expertise and contribute to scalable, secure and sustainable ways of working.
For someone who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating with others and seeing their work make a real-world difference, this role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to develop your technical leadership.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and delivering digital solutions across applications, data and integrations
- Translating business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions
- Developing solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies
- Taking ownership of solutions or components throughout the development and delivery lifecycle
- Ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with agreed standards and design patterns
- Working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver measurable business value
- Supporting the adoption of digital tools, including low-code and automation solutions
- Identifying and managing risks relating to solution design, data and operations
- Making considered design decisions based on long-term scalability and business impact
- Creating reusable components, integrations and automation solutions where appropriate
- Supporting and training citizen developers to expand digital capability across the business
- Guiding colleagues in solution design and delivery while encouraging shared learning and continuous improvement
- Helping to develop standards and patterns that enable consistent, high-quality digital solutions
Work Experience
We are interested in the combination of skills, experience and perspective you can bring. You do not need to meet every desirable criterion to make a valuable contribution.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience developing and delivering solutions using Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric artefacts and Gen1 or Gen2 dataflows
- A practical understanding of data handling, processing and integration approaches
- Experience developing with or supporting technologies such as SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Machine Learning, AI Foundry or Copilot Studio
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management, environments, workspaces and deployment practices
- An awareness of security, access control and data-governance considerations
- The ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Confidence working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting citizen development or training people from non-IT backgrounds
- A thoughtful, structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge and support others
The following would also be valuable:
- Experience creating reusable Power Platform components, integrations or automation solutions, including Power Apps Component Framework components or custom visuals
- Exposure to programming languages such as Python, JavaScript or C#
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or data-driven environment
- Familiarity with IoT, real-time data or event-hub data processing
- Microsoft certifications relating to Azure or Power Platform
