Building Automation Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Engineer to join our team. This role involves the installation, commissioning, and optimization of advanced Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems. You will ensure that controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards while using your technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks. Your role will also include training system owners and partnering with Project Managers to manage risks and enhance project execution. This position requires travel and adaptability to changing schedules, as well as maintaining project integrity through accurate documentation and participation in project reviews. Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems to meet performance standards.
- Utilize technical judgment to solve automation challenges and prevent project delays.
- Train system owners on operation and collaborate with Project Managers to improve execution.
- Travel as required and take ownership of complex projects from start to finish.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and engage in project reviews for continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years working with computers in a building/machinery environment.
- Proficiency in HVAC, controls systems, and building automation systems.
- Understanding of how computer systems interface with machinery such as HVAC, lighting, and thermostats.
- Ability to manipulate data, interface with various systems, and navigate software platforms.
- Experience with computer protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
- Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls systems integration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge in automation engineering, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens control.
- Experience with commercial buildings and control systems.
- Familiarity with automation software and WebCTRL.
Work Environment This role operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The position involves frequent local travel to customer sites, requiring you to drive a vehicle or pair up with fellow engineers. Upon becoming a permanent employee, a company truck will be provided, and expenses for miles will be covered during the contract period.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
