Manufacturing Engineer | Medical Device Industry

Our client, a growing medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, launch, validation, and continuous improvement of Class II and III medical devices, including catheters, implants, and other complex disposable products. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a few years of manufacturing experience who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams. You'll have the chance to make a tangible impact on products that ultimately improve patient outcomes while gaining exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and highly regulated processes.
## What You'll Be Doing
Support and optimize manufacturing processes for innovative medical device products Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, material, and process-related production issues Lead and support new product transfers from R&D into full-scale manufacturing Execute process validations including IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV, and MSA activities Implement new equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, BOMs, and validation protocols Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to support production and process improvements Participate in equipment qualification, method transfers, and manufacturing scale-up activities
## What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline 1-5 years of Manufacturing, Process, Product Transfer, or Industrial Engineering experience Experience troubleshooting and improving manufacturing processes Hands-on experience in validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ preferred) Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred
## Bonus Experience
Medical device manufacturing experience, particularly Class II or Class III products Experience with catheters, implants, disposable devices, or other highly regulated products Product transfer experience from development through commercial production Equipment implementation, automation, and process scale-up experience ERP system experience supporting production and manufacturing operations

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
