About this role
Description
Trust depends on two things being true at once: that every piece of customer data is governed, controlled, and provably compliant, and that the organization can move fast enough to keep up as products evolve in the era of AI. TCI's AI Enablement & Data Governance charter owns both. On the data side, we make sure data is classified, its handling is enforceable, and compliance can be proven rather than asserted. On the enablement side, we use AI-driven automation to take operational load off the entire organization so builders spend their time building trust, not maintaining it by hand.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the programs across this charter. You will own complex, cross-functional initiatives that span product, engineering, and science teams, and often multiple organizations, from data governance and enforcement programs to the automation efforts that reduce operational burden at scale. Operating with significant autonomy, you will set the plan, map dependencies across teams, surface risks early, and keep a broad set of stakeholders aligned on a shared bar and timeline, including partners in privacy, legal, and other organizations we depend on. You will operate at a technical level, understanding the systems and trade-offs well enough to ask the right questions and drive sound decisions, and you will bring the judgment and influence to hold teams that do not report to you accountable to their commitments. Above all, you will be the connective tissue that turns provable data governance and AI-driven efficiency from goals into delivered outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and drive complex, cross-functional programs across both data governance and AI enablement, spanning multiple engineering, product, and science teams and often multiple organizations.
- Build the program plan from ambiguity: define scope, milestones, and success criteria, and translate a broad charter into an executable roadmap with clear owners.
- Map and manage cross-team and cross-org dependencies, including partners in privacy and legal, surface risks early, and drive them to resolution before they affect delivery.
- Drive data governance programs so that data classification, handling enforcement, and retention obligations are met and provable, and make those requirements a prerequisite for new services rather than an afterthought.
- Drive the AI enablement and automation agenda that reduces operational burden across the organization, and track its impact on capacity and delivery.
- Establish the bar for what "done" and "compliant" mean in this space and embed it into how programs are planned and run.
- Keep a diverse set of stakeholders aligned, from individual builders to senior leaders, through clear written narratives, status, and decision documents.
- Operate at a technical level: understand the systems and trade-offs well enough to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and drive sound decisions.
- Define and track the metrics that show whether governance is provable and whether automation is actually returning capacity, and use them to prioritize.
- Influence and hold teams that do not report to you accountable to shared commitments and timelines.
