Job & Division Summary:

As part of the Engineered-to-Order (ETO) project management team responsible for the successful completion of new compressor and other equipment contracts, the Document Controller (DC) supports ETO projects by managing document deliverables and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and project timelines. This role oversees document workflows, coordinates with cross-functional teams, and ensures timely, accurate submission of deliverables.

The DC partners with Project Managers and stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals, drive process consistency, and enhance customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires strong document management expertise, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.

This position will support mainly North American customers, as well as project teams in both North America and India.

This position supports customers and projects across the United States and requires working hours that align with U.S. business operations.

Responsibilities

- Manage document deliverables for ETO projects using established processes.

- Maintain compliance with customer specifications and delivery timelines.

- Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and support issue resolution and corrective actions.

- Coordinate submission schedules, approval cycles, and milestone alignment.

- Communicate status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and customers.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate preparation, review, and delivery of documents.

- Facilitate resolution of customer comments and feedback.

- Support customer interactions related to documentation expectations.

- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

- Promote standardization and reliability in document control practices.

- Track and support performance metrics related to delivery and project execution.

Basic Qualifications

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, project teams, and stakeholders.

- 2+ years of experience in a similar industry or role.

- 1+ year of experience with direct customer interaction preferred.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel) and document management systems.

- Ability to work and collaborate effectively with teams across the United States and India.
