About this role

Who we are

We drive innovation from advisory and implementation to managed services and beyond, powered by a global team of over 18,500 experts representing more than 90 nations in over 30 countries. With SAP at our core and a strong ecosystem of partners such as Microsoft and ServiceNow, we continuously improve solutions and AI-driven technology to make them work for companies and their people.

As part of NTT DATA, a global business and technology services, AI and digital infrastructure leader, we serve leading organizations around the world. Our teams collaborate across countries and disciplines, with opportunities to take ownership, continue learning and build a strong professional network.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager for Cloud Infrastructure to lead planning and delivery across a technically complex cloud infrastructure program. The role combines strong project governance with the ability to participate meaningfully in technical discussions with cloud architects, infrastructure engineers, SAP GCO teams, business stakeholders and external cloud providers.

What you'll be doing

- Lead and coordinate project planning, execution and delivery across a technically complex cloud infrastructure program.

- Align engineering, architecture and business stakeholders on project scope, priorities, milestones, deliverables and acceptance criteria.

- Maintain the integrated project timeline, dependencies, risks and open actions. Escalate blockers promptly and present practical mitigation options.

- Facilitate technical workshops, project reviews and decision-making sessions, ensuring that outcomes, owners and decisions remain documented and traceable.

- Work closely with cloud architects and infrastructure engineers and contribute substantively to IaaS discussions covering compute, storage and networking.

- Own and maintain core project artifacts, including project plans, status reports, decision records, risk registers, action logs and meeting minutes.

- Coordinate automation and DevOps workstreams. Assess and communicate how IaC tooling choices, CI/CD pipeline changes and infrastructure automation initiatives affect scope, dependencies and delivery timelines.
Interface with SAP GCO teams and external cloud provider contacts where applicable. Manage vendor relationships, clarify ownership and track provider commitments through completion.

- Ensure that knowledge transfer and documentation standards support reproducible outcomes and give technical teams accessible information after delivery.

- Report project status to senior stakeholders with clarity, translating technical progress, risks and decisions into business-relevant terms.

What you'll bring along

- At least 5 years of project or program management experience in a cloud infrastructure, platform engineering or comparable technical environment.

- Practical familiarity with at least one major hyperscaler: AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure. You can engage in technical discussions without requiring engineering teams to translate every concept.

- A solid understanding of IaaS fundamentals, including compute, storage and networking, sufficient to interpret technical requirements, assess delivery risk and participate in architecture discussions.

- Working knowledge of infrastructure automation approaches and tooling, including IaC such as Terraform, CI/CD pipeline concepts and configuration management practices. Direct hands-on experience is a strong advantage.

- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional, technically complex projects involving multiple internal teams, business stakeholders and external parties.

- Experience managing external vendors or cloud provider engagements, including commitments, dependencies and escalations.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear project artifacts and present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proficiency with standard project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence or equivalent platforms.

- Fluent in written and spoken English and/or German.
