This educational internship provides BYU–Hawaii Facility and Construction Management students with hands-on experience in temple construction or facilities management within the Special Projects Department (SPD). Under general supervision, Interns gain practical exposure to construction, facility operations, assessments, capital projects, and planning while applying concepts learned through their academic studies. The program is designed to develop future construction and facilities management professionals and strengthen global partnerships through meaningful workplace learning experiences.
- Currently enrolled at BYU–Hawaii and registered in the Construction and Facilities Management (CFM) major.
- Must have 9 credits in the CFM program and at least 60 total credits.
- Available to complete at least 14 weeks of a 16-week internship, ideally between 26 th April and 27 th August 2027
- Must not be enrolled in academic courses during the internship period.
- Able to work 30-40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
- Must have legal authorization to intern (work) in the country for which the internship is based.
- Demonstrates keen interest in temple construction, facilities management, and project delivery.
- Able to work effectively under the supervision of construction, facilities, site or project professionals.
- Demonstrates strong communication, collaboration, initiative, and willingness to learn .
- Able and willing to participate in site visits, training, professional development, and other assigned learning activities, and internship evaluation processes.
