About this role

Job Summary

The Senior Reservoir Engineer will provide reservoir engineering and economic evaluation support for appraising the resource potential of the Powder River Basin asset. This role will apply advanced reservoir engineering principles, simulation, and data analysis to maximize recovery, improve well and field performance, and support reserves and economic evaluations. Working collaboratively with geology, land, completions, production, and operations teams, this role will assess resource potential and provide sound recommendations that support the timely and effective development of identified resources.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide engineering support for geologists, production/completion engineers, and landmen as a member of a multi-disciplined asset team executing an active drilling plan.
- Participate in the identification, evaluation, planning and execution of a resource play focused growth strategy.
- Perform reserve and economic evaluations of drilling, workover, and acquisition opportunities.
- Analyze data to make well-founded recommendations and effectively communicate to management.
- Prepare reserve and economic analysis for budget cycle, year-end/mid-year SEC reserve reporting, and acquisition evaluations.
- Analyze well data and identify behind pipe potential.  Maintain inventory of behind pipe potential with reserve and economic value estimates.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent, relevant industry experience.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in unconventional oil and gas development.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Prior experience supporting international operations.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up-to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
