Job Title: Proposal Analyst Job Description The Proposal Analyst supports a large-scale project in a highly technical manufacturing environment by reviewing customer contracts and technical documentation to determine the materials and supplies required for specific product assemblies. This project-based, on-site role is ideal for analytical, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy researching information, working through complex documentation, and translating technical requirements into clear, actionable material needs. Responsibilities
- Review customer contracts and supporting documentation to identify applicable specifications, standards, and material requirements for product assemblies.
- Pull relevant information from contracts and translate technical and commercial requirements into actionable material and supply needs.
- Assist in developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed supply lists for individual product assemblies.
- Review technical drawings and supporting documentation to identify applicable requirements and ensure alignment with contract specifications.
- Compare specifications, technical drawings, and documentation to verify that appropriate materials, components, and supplies are being used.
- Research specifications, standards, and requirements using company-provided websites and resources when contract information is unclear or incomplete.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, and conflicting requirements within documentation and work through them using available resources and guidance.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, review, and analyze project information, materials data, and contract details.
- Manage assigned work independently as a primary individual contributor while collaborating with project leadership and an experienced project consultant when additional guidance is required.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency when reviewing detailed and technical information to support quality and compliance.
- Learn and apply new terminology, specifications, and technical concepts relevant to the manufacturing and defense-related project.
- Contribute to a streamlined project workflow by meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining organized records of contract and materials analysis.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience reviewing detailed documents such as contracts, records, specifications, technical documentation, or similar information.
- Strong attention to detail with a clear commitment to accuracy in document and data review.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex requirements.
- Ability to research information and independently work toward a solution when the answer is not immediately available.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for organizing, reviewing, and analyzing project and materials data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage workload and meet project deadlines.
- Comfort reviewing technical documentation and drawings; ability to interpret technical content at a functional level.
- Ability to work primarily as an individual contributor while asking questions and collaborating when appropriate.
- Comfort learning new terminology, specifications, and technical concepts associated with a technical manufacturing and defense-related environment.
- Ability to meet U.S. citizenship requirements, including restrictions related to dual citizenship, due to the nature of the defense-related work.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in contracts analysis and proposal analysis.
- High level of resourcefulness and a strong problem-solving mindset when working with complex or incomplete information.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Backgrounds in areas such as document control, contract administration, compliance, quality documentation, supply chain, procurement, materials, technical documentation, manufacturing or operations support, configuration management, or project and data analysis are highly relevant.
- Experience in proposal analysis or contract administration is beneficial for understanding contract requirements and translating them into material needs.
- Familiarity with configuration management or quality documentation processes can support accurate materials and specification alignment.
- Comfort working in a project-based environment where workload and duration depend on project needs.
- Experience functioning as an individual contributor on technical or documentation-heavy projects.
- Prior exposure to technical drawings is helpful but not required; willingness to learn and interpret technical information is important.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate findings, discrepancies, and questions to project leadership and stakeholders.
Work Environment This role is based on-site in Warren and follows a standard 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule. The position supports a highly technical manufacturing environment and involves project-based work with an overall duration dependent on project needs and workload. The role is primarily focused on individual contributor responsibilities, with close collaboration and support from an experienced project consultant as needed. Work is performed using standard office tools and technology, including extensive use of Microsoft Excel and company-provided online resources to research specifications and requirements. The environment emphasizes accuracy, analytical thinking, and careful document review within a defense-related context, and offers a streamlined hiring process with one virtual interview followed by a hiring decision. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
