Position Purpose/Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, the Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and day-to-day management of the designated branch. The position has primary accountability for branch operations, employee performance, customer experience, staffing, safety, fleet and equipment readiness, and financial results. The Branch Manager is expected to balance people leadership, customer needs, operational execution, and business performance while maintaining a positive, accountable, and safe work environment. This is a hands-on leadership position and may require direct operational support when necessary.
Shift/Hours:
Monday through Friday; weekends, overtime, after-hours availability, and schedule adjustments may be required based on business demands.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Own the overall operational and financial performance of the branch, including revenue growth, profitability, productivity, service quality, and efficient use of labor and equipment.
Establish branch priorities and direct the Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Supervisors, Leads, and other assigned employees to ensure work is completed safely, timely, accurately, and efficiently.
Monitor daily service execution, route completion, pickups and deliveries, special projects, and customer commitments; step into operational needs when necessary to maintain service levels.
Maintain accountability for customer experience by monitoring service quality, conducting quality checks, resolving escalated concerns, partnering with Sales, and supporting customer retention and growth.
Oversee branch fleet and equipment condition, inspections, pre-trip documentation, preventive maintenance, repairs, and readiness; coordinate with the Director of Operations, Fleet & Equipment Manager, and other departments as needed.
Review branch operational data and performance trends and implement practical improvements that support safety, service, efficiency, and profitability.
Evaluate staffing levels, turnover, workload, and business needs and partner with Human Resources on proactive recruiting and staffing plans.
Participate in and make final branch-level hiring recommendations/decisions within Company approval processes and established authority.
Set clear employee expectations, conduct performance reviews, address performance or conduct concerns, and coordinate corrective action with Human Resources and the Director of Operations as appropriate.
Develop employees and branch leadership through coaching, feedback, training, delegation, accountability, and advancement opportunities.
Maintain regular communication with the Director of Operations and participate in management meetings to ensure alignment across branches and departments.
Ensure branch practices comply with Company policies, safety programs, employment practices, and applicable operational requirements.
Create and maintain a positive, professional, safe, and team-based work environment.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelors degree in business, operations, management, or a related field preferred.
Prior management or supervisory experience in operations, service, logistics, construction, sanitation, transportation, or a related environment required.
Demonstrated ability to lead employees, manage competing priorities, and hold others accountable for performance and results.
Strong customer-service, conflict-management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of integrity, safety, and work ethic.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage large tasks and shifting priorities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees, peers, and senior leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, email, routing systems, tablets, and other Company applications used in branch operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401k
