Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Mon-Thurs (some Fridays) 6am-4pm
$16-18 D.O.E
GENERAL STATEMENTS OF DUTIES: Verifies and processes incoming and outgoing
shipments, maintains shipment records, and prepares items for shipment.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)
1. Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of
incoming shipments to verify accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or
other records.
2. Processes all shipments through ERP and TMS systems and ensures transaction
accuracy.
3. Maintains inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies.
4. Supervises dock personnel to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in
compliance with company policies and procedures.
5. Operates lift trucks and hand trucks to move, convey, or hoist shipments between
shipping/receiving platforms, storage areas, and work areas.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
? Minimum of two (2) years of experience in LTL and TL shipping/receiving processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in the use of a personal computer
and related software systems. Ability to read and comprehend instructions,
correspondence, and documents, including recognition of similarities and differences
between words and numerical sequences. Ability to print and speak simple sentences
clearly. Ability to add and subtract four-digit numbers and multiply and divide using units
of 100 and 1,000. Ability to perform calculations involving American currency, weight,
volume, and distance measurements. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to
carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
? Education: High School Diploma or GED
? Experience: Two years minimum in shipping and receiving processing.
SAP/ERP knowledge is a plus. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $16.00 - $18.00
