Remote Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

In this fully remote role, you will guide patients through the use of home monitoring kits, assist with collecting and documenting vital signs, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced virtual healthcare environment. What You'll Do

- Assist patients through inbound phone calls in a telehealth environment
- Guide patients on the proper use of home health monitoring kits
- Collect, document, and review patient vital signs and health information
- Identify and escalate abnormal or out-of-range vital readings as needed
- Accurately document patient interactions within EMR/EHR systems
- Deliver outstanding patient care with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency
- Support patients by troubleshooting basic technical and process-related questions
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from one of the following: AAMA
- AMT
- NHA
- NRCMA
- NCCT

- Minimum of 3 years of CMA experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to recognize abnormal patient vitals
- Experience documenting within EMR/EHR systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote setting
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Tech-savvy with confidence navigating multiple computer systems
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated home workspace that supports HIPAA compliance

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous telehealth or remote healthcare experience
- Experience with Athena or similar EMR platforms
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills
- Patient triage experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
