When the water is healthy, the land and the people are healthy

There's never been a better time to join Watercare. • Fixed-term, full-time: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

We have an exciting Mechanical Apprenticeship opportunity available for a motivated and enthusiastic person who wants to earn while they learn. This programme provides the opportunity to develop practical skills and build a rewarding career while supporting our Asset Efficiency team in the maintenance of machinery and equipment. The role includes hands-on repairs, problem-solving, solution design, and project administration.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is a team player with good communication skills

• Has good literacy skills

• Is physically fit and enjoys hands-on work
• Holds a clean, full driver's licence

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong motivation, and a willingness to learn.

Full training will be provided for the successful applicant. You'll receive industry-leading support while working towards a nationally recognised qualification, gaining valuable practical experience, and developing skills that can lead to a long-term career within Watercare. For someone who demonstrates commitment, capability, and drive, there are excellent opportunities for future career growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a great team and build a career that makes a real difference to Tāmaki Makaurau. You'll help maintain essential infrastructure that protects the environment and supports the health and wellbeing of Aucklanders while working for Aotearoa New Zealand's largest water and wastewater utility, Watercare.
