Job Descriptions

- Lead the Group’s environmental agenda by developing and implementing environmental strategies, policies and standards across our business units, projects and operations.

- Drive environmental compliance by ensuring our operations meet regulatory, statutory and internal environmental requirements, while staying ahead of emerging environmental regulations and industry expectations.

- Manage environmental risks and impacts by developing practical risk assessment frameworks and mitigation strategies across operations, projects, contractors and supply chain activities.

- Improve environmental performance across key areas such as waste, water, emissions, pollution prevention and resource efficiency, identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve operational efficiency.

- Champion Environmental Management Systems (EMS) by overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental management practices in line with ISO 14001 and relevant HSSE standards.

- Lead environmental incident management by overseeing the investigation of significant environmental incidents, driving corrective and preventive actions, and sharing lessons learned across the organisation.

- Embed environmental practices into projects and operations by providing environmental guidance throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring contractors and suppliers meet the Group’s environmental expectations.

- Drive the Group’s Net Zero and climate agenda by leading GHG accounting, carbon reduction initiatives, Scope 1–3 emissions management, climate risk assessment and decarbonisation opportunities.

- Oversee environmental and sustainability reporting by ensuring accurate environmental and GHG data, regulatory submissions, sustainability disclosures and third-party assurance requirements.

- Build environmental capability across the Group by leading the Environmental function, developing talent and delivering training and awareness programmes, while working closely with management, business units, regulators, clients and other stakeholders.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability or related field

- 10+ years of relevant environmental management experience.

- Strong experience in environmental compliance, risk management, EMS and ISO 14001.

- Working knowledge of GHG accounting, Net Zero, GHG Protocol and sustainability reporting such as ISSB/IFRS S1 & S2 and NSRF.

- Proven experience managing environmental initiatives across multiple business units, projects or locations.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior management and driving environmental improvement.
