<b>Overview</b><br><div><p>Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) delivers the foundational infrastructure and technologies that power Microsoft’s cloud and online services. Within SCHIE, Cloud Hardware Systems Engineering (CHSE) supports the engineering and delivery of cloud hardware with a focus on quality, scale, and predictable execution. </p></div><div><p>We are seeking a Principal Program Manager, Taiwan Lab &amp; Partner Engineering, to lead early-stage design and engineering collaboration with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Contract Manufacturers (CMs). This senior individual contributor will align Taiwan lab readiness, resource priorities, and partner commitments with program needs. Bridging Taiwan, US, and global labs, you will enable two-way sharing of expertise, best practices, and capabilities, reduce cross-region friction, and improve engineering efficiency, quality, and delivery predictability.</p></div><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><div><ul><li>Lead Taiwan-based early-stage design and engineering programs with ODM/CM and Microsoft engineering partners, translating program priorities into aligned outcomes and effective local execution.</li><li>Align Taiwan lab support, readiness, and resource priorities with engineering demand. Influence capacity and capability decisions to improve program efficiency while balancing competing needs.</li><li>Establish joint delivery accountability with ODM/CM engineering partners, aligning commitments, dependencies, and expectations to improve quality and delivery predictability.</li><li>Connect Taiwan, US, and global labs through two-way sharing of engineering expertise, best practices, resources, and capabilities. Promote reuse and reduce time-zone and remote-management friction.</li><li>Lead cross-organizational resolution of program risks, dependencies, and decisions in partnership with existing engineering and operational owners. Clarify tradeoffs and drive issues to closure without duplicating technical ownership.</li><li>Use program evidence and partner feedback to identify improvements in local engineering execution and lab collaboration. Scale practices that strengthen readiness, quality, resource effectiveness, and business outcomes.</li><li>Communicate program health, priorities, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders. Build alignment on decisions and resource tradeoffs across Taiwan partners and global engineering leadership.</li><li>Shape Taiwan lab and engineering partner collaboration strategy with engineering, sourcing, and operations leaders. Align partner capabilities with evolving program needs while respecting established commercial and operational ownership. </li></ul></div><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><br><div><div><strong> Required Qualifications </strong></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><div>Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.</div></li><li><div>5+ years of experience leading cross-functional programs across engineering, operations, hardware, infrastructure, manufacturing, lab, or supply chain environments.</div></li><li><div>Experience establishing operating mechanisms that align program priorities, ownership, dependencies, and delivery commitments across teams.</div></li><li><div>Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across teams without direct authority. </div></li></ul></div><div><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications </strong></p></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.</li><li>Experience with hardware development lifecycles, engineering labs, manufacturing, or engineering collaboration with ODM/CM partners.</li><li>Experience in product hardware design or validation, including working with engineering teams to define requirements, execute verification plans, analyze test results, and drive issue resolution through development milestones.</li><li>Experience leading programs across multinational, matrixed engineering and partner organizations, including collaboration across Taiwan, US, or other global teams.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and experience using data to assess program health, inform resource tradeoffs, and improve quality and delivery predictability.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to scale engineering collaboration and reuse lab capabilities, resources, and best practices across teams or regions.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to engage local engineering partners and global stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. </li></ul></div></div> <br><p>This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.</p><br><hr><br><p>Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
