About the Opportunity
SRM Materials is seeking dependable, safety-minded Block Plant Machine Operators to join our growing team. In this role, you will operate and monitor automated block-making equipment to produce high-quality concrete block products safely, efficiently, and consistently.
Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
- Operate block plant machinery and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor equipment performance, product quality, and production flow throughout the shift.
- Set up, adjust, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting on machinery as needed.
- Inspect finished block for proper size, shape, color, strength, and overall quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with changing molds, clearing jams, and performing routine preventive maintenance.
- Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, and safety hazards to supervision promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and plant procedures.
- Assist other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
What Sets You Apart
- Prior manufacturing, production, construction, concrete, or equipment-operating experience preferred, but training may be provided.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn automated production equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work around dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Must be able to follow safety instructions and work well as part of a team.
