About the Opportunity
SRM Materials is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Block Plant Machine Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring block-making equipment to produce quality concrete masonry products efficiently and safely.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in quality work, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust block plant machinery and related equipment.
- Set up machines for production runs and ensure molds, materials, and equipment are operating properly.
- Inspect finished block for size, appearance, strength, and overall quality standards.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Identify equipment or production issues and report them promptly to supervision or maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and production procedures.
- Assist with material handling, plant cleanup, and other duties as needed.
What Sets You Apart
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, production, equipment operation, concrete, or block plant experience is preferred, but training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment, dust, noise, and concrete products.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a team-oriented attitude.
