About the Role:
The Public Affairs intern will operate within the Allianz Trade Economic Research team, under the supervision of the Public Affairs manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the governmental, political and policy environment for credit insurance, bonding and B2B trade worldwide, with a focus on Europe and the US to inform Allianz Trade stakeholders.
- Identifying key political and policy changes impacting major client sectors for both economic research team and the Public Affairs manager.
- Supporting the Public Affairs manager in building Allianz Trade’s outreach and advocacy.
- Supporting the research team in building political scenarios.
- Raising awareness of credit insurance as an enabler of growth in collaboration with the Public Affairs manager.
- Promote partnerships with other organizations (e.g., trade associations, public banks) in the sector at the national and international level.
- Supporting the Public Affairs Manager in drafting a quarterly regulatory briefing.
- Drafting speaking points to various stakeholders.
- Maintaining and updating an internal public affairs directory.
Position reports to the Public Affairs Manager.
Profile/ Required Skills
- Bachelor or Masters in political science, public affairs, or any relevant topics.
- Willingness to learn about trade credit insurance.
- Understanding of European financial services legislation and decision making process.
- Ability to quickly absorb and synthetise complex information.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and convincing way in an international and fast-moving work environment.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong team spirit and inter-personal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentational.
- Excellent command in English; German or French would be a plus.
