About the Role:
Support economists in their daily tasks and research, contribute to the monitoring of economic trends and country risks by maintaining database, writing short notes and talking points, contributing to publications, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support economists in their daily tasks and research: contribute to the monitoring of economic trends by maintaining database, writing short notes and talking points, contributing to publications, etc.
- Country risk models: understanding and analyzing macroeconomic indicators to gauge the credit risk associated with a country. Supporting the team to convert country risk model files into a more straightforward file for emerging countries.
- Country pages: supporting economists to update country pages on the company website, reviewing and writing about macroeconomic developments and forecasts, the business environment and the political risk.
- Country chart dashboards: building chart dashboards for the major economies of the world, on Refinitiv, to help the research team have a comprehensive and quick overview of economic cycles.
Profile/Required Skills:
The role requires very strong technical and analytical skills and being able to juggle between multiple tasks and requests
- M1 or M2 in Economics/Statistics/Finance
- Fluent in English
- Very good analytical, research and writing skills
- Very good knowedge of MS Office suite, in particular Excel
Nice to Have:
- Fluent in French
- Knowledge in microeconomics/corporate finance
- Knowledge of statistical software such as Python
- Experience with data providers such as Datastream, Refinitiv, Bloomberg
