The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a systems engineer with a mechanical engineering emphasis. Join our team to create a complex mission critical communications system for our DoD customer. Your focus will be on design and creation of a large aperture antenna system and its subsequent technical and resilience testing. You will work in a cross-functional team, face difficult problems, and be expected to work independently with limited oversight.

Responsibilities:

- With input from multidiscipline teammates, plan, design, develop, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical components and sub-systems.
- Create detailed technical specifications, system diagrams, wiring diagrams, CAD designs, BOMs, etc. for large aperture antenna systems
- Develop and present design reviews to customers, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts
- Review test procedures for factory and site acceptance testing to ensure system quality and performance
- Prepare and review Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to meet program documentation requirements
- Coordinate with technical support personnel regarding the mechanical portions of prototype testing undefined
- Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs that meet ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Perform design trade studies, tolerance analysis, and material selection for demanding applications
- Participate in prototype builds, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical hardware.
- Support and execute component- and system-level testing, including environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock, etc.).

Qualifications:
Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering or similar field from an ABET accredited university
- Experience and proficiency with 3D CAD software
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience operating rapid prototyping equipment such as CNC, Lathes, hand tools, 3D printers
- Willingness to travel ≤10% of the time.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$63,800 - 127,500 USD
