Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out minor periodic service and maintenance in line with MG Guidelines and IEM SOPs .

- Repair or replace worn and faulty components according to job orders.

- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) .

- Use VDS scanning tools to read and clear vehicle faults.

- Assist Repair and Diagnostic Technicians when required.

- Continuously develop technical knowledge through formal training and technical learning.

- Maintain and manage standard technician tools and equipment.

- Provide clear and accurate job completion notes, including any safety-related observations.

- Clock in and out of assigned job orders according to company procedures.

- Coordinate with the Workshop Controller regarding vehicle status and with the Parts Advisor to obtain required parts.

- Follow instructions from supervisors in accordance with company SOPs.

- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

- Maintain and protect company assets.

- Follow all Health, Safety and QHSE procedures.

- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Role Purpose

To service, maintain, and repair MG vehicles while ensuring high-quality workmanship, vehicle safety, and optimal vehicle performance in accordance with MG manufacturer standards and Ali & Sons procedures.
What We're Looking For:

Experience:

- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar automotive technician role.

- Experience with vehicle servicing, repairs, PDI, and basic diagnostics is preferred.

Education:

- High Diploma in Mechanics or a related technical qualification.

Certification:

- Brand Advanced Technician Qualification Certification is required.

Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.

- Ability to repair and replace faulty or worn components.

- Experience with vehicle inspection and PDI procedures.

- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic/scanning tools, particularly VDS .

- Understanding of manufacturer repair procedures and SOPs.

- Ability to identify and report safety-related technical issues.
