We're seeking someone to join our Product Control team as a Director in Finance to safeguard the integrity of Morgan Stanley Europe SE's books and records and deliver high-quality financial control, reporting and governance.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services relating to the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director-level position within Product Control, which is responsible for the integrity of the Firm's books and records, revenue reporting, valuation oversight and the associated control environment.

What you'll do in the role:
-Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
-Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments
-Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
-Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
-Deliver financial control and reporting for Morgan Stanley Europe SE, ensuring the appropriate accounting classification, timing and accuracy of economic transactions and events.
-Report, review and analyze divisional and consolidated net revenue and contribute to the daily and month-end close processes.
-Partner with Business Units and Infrastructure and Support functions to develop or validate budgets and forecasts and assess performance against targets.
-Review financial performance and promote accountability for risk management, expense management, valuations, internal controls and governance.
-Act as a key contact for statutory auditors, tax authorities and Finance stakeholders and support Internal Audit reviews relating to ISG Finance and Valuation Control.
-Identify key risks and control challenges, maintain robust financial accounting systems and records, and drive enhancements to processes and controls.
What you'll bring to the role:
-In-depth knowledge of Product Control, Financial Control, Valuation Control, accounting or a related Finance control function within financial services.
-Qualified Accountant
-Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, revenue analysis, valuation oversight and daily and month-end close processes.
-Possesses the confidence, and interpersonal skills required to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels, including strong personalities within a fast-moving environment.
-Ability to operate independently, apply sound judgment to complex matters and take ownership of deliverables and control outcomes.
-Experience partnering with Business Units, Finance colleagues, auditors and control functions and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.
-Ability to identify risk, assess controls, influence stakeholders and implement practical process improvements in a regulated environment.
-At least four years of relevant experience would generally be expected to develop the skills required for this role.
