Engineering Project Manager

Location: Columbia River Gorge region (Onsite, with a possible move to hybrid) --- You'll take new aircraft from early concept all the way to production launch. Reporting to the head of engineering, you'll own the schedule, manage risk, and keep engineering, manufacturing, and test teams moving together on complex aerospace hardware. The role is very visible and directly affects product delivery, revenue, and the company's next generation of unmanned aircraft. --- Responsibilities

- Build and keep up the master project schedule across every stage of product development.
- Run project planning, risk management, issue tracking, and weekly project reviews.
- Coordinate the work of engineering, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and certification.
- Manage key deliverables like BOMs, drawing releases, prototype builds, configuration control, verification testing, and production readiness.
- Create the work breakdown structure, find the critical path, and hold engineering teams accountable to it.
- Keep stakeholders and leadership updated on status, risks, milestones, and recovery plans.
- Support engineering change management and help improve how projects are run.

--- Qualifications Required

- At least 10 years of combined engineering and technical project management experience
- At least 5 years leading hardware product development through design, prototyping, testing, and production launch
- Strong scheduling skills in Microsoft Project or a similar tool
- Experience managing complex engineering programs with risk, dependencies, resources, cost, and schedule all in play
- Previous work in aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or another complex hardware field
- Experience leading cross functional engineering teams and getting projects across the finish line
- Working knowledge of configuration control, engineering change management, and product development processes

Preferred

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience with VTOL, UAV, UAS, aerospace systems, or other advanced electromechanical products
- Knowledge of PDM and ERP systems and configuration management processes
- Exposure to DO-178 or other aerospace certification work
- Strong communication skills, including project reporting to executives

--- Work Environment This role starts fully onsite in the Columbia River Gorge region. After about 2 to 3 months it may move to a hybrid schedule, based on performance and business needs. You'll work in an engineering driven setting building advanced aircraft systems, side by side with design, manufacturing, and test teams. Day to day you'll lean on Microsoft Project, PDM and ERP systems, and standard engineering and configuration management tools. The team values structured execution, disciplined engineering processes, and tight coordination between technical and operations groups from concept through production. --- Additional Information Candidates who live in the Pacific Northwest are preferred. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Bingen, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $143000.00 - $229000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. - Financial Rewards: Competitive base salary, incentive compensation which may include profit sharing schemes, retirement savings plan and the ability to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
