Job Purpose/Overview

- The Senior Indirect Tax Analyst is responsible for leading strategic tax projects, focusing on process and systems improvement, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- This role oversees and manages tax systems.
- Additionally, the analyst oversees the daily operations of a team of junior and mid-level tax analysts and tax assistants, ensuring efficient task execution and fostering team development.

What are we looking for?

- Minimum of 5 years relevant transactional tax experience, mainly indirect tax;
- Expertise in complex tax projects;
- Experience in big 4 company is desirable;
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field (such as Law);
- Experience maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation and compliance software (mandatory SAP and desirable TaxOne);
- Hands-on experience in tax-related projects and process automation;
- Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus;
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Tax Management, Finance or related areas is a plus;
- Project management certifications are a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented;
- Expertise in indirect tax calculation, such as ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI, PIS, Cofins, and withholding taxes, is mandatory;
- English skills – Intermediate is mandatory.

What will be your key responsibilities?

- Support for tax planning projects;
- Experience with the Brazilian Tax Reform is mandatory;
- Respond to ad-hoc requests;
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and align strategies to mitigate risks;
- Preparing technical tax requirements and documentation for ERP system updates driven by tax changes;
- Oversee internal tax processes to ensure compliance with current tax regulations;
- Prepare management reports to support strategic decision-making;
- Document workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks;
- Plan and lead tax-related projects, including tax recovery initiatives, compliance automation, and system implementations;
- Strategically delegate tasks to ensure efficiency and adherence to deadlines;
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery;
- Provide guidance to the team;
- Provide technical support for internal and external audits;
- Foster the professional and technical development of team members.
