About this role
We’re looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager, Procore for Government to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. We’re a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security and business systems.
In this Principal Technical Program Manager role, you'll accelerate the release of new products into Procore for Government by building the operating model and change management processes that let us serve federal and public sector customers at the speed our commercial products move. You'll partner with engineering, product, security, compliance, support, and go-to-market teams to drive the delivery of the latest features in our government solutions. Use your leadership and working fluency in FedRAMP, compliance frameworks, and software change management, to shorten the distance between a feature being functional, being compliant, and reaching our government customers.
This position reports into the Sr. Director, Procore Zones and will be based in our Austin, TX office. This position requires US citizenship to work on FedRAMP-compliant projects. Candidates must be eligible to work on federal government projects requiring FedRAMP authorization. We're looking for someone to join us immediately. Apply today to join our team of Groundbreakers.
What you’ll do:
- Accelerate the release of new features into government environments, identifying and removing bottlenecks.
- Partner with program and product leaders across Procore and lead the planning of strategic business objectives to align government commitments against the broader product roadmap.
- Streamline compliance change management, partnering with engineering and product to evolve the workflows and tooling for reviewing, approving, and deploying changes across environments.
- Establish and run operational review meetings for Procore for Government, bringing engineering, product, security, compliance, support, and go-to-market stakeholders into a single operating rhythm with clear areas of accountability.
- Define end-to-end ownership for the processes Procore for Government depends on, closing the accountability gaps where work currently falls between teams.
- Mentor other program managers and leaders on best practices for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- At Procore, AI isn't a specialized tool—it's a core competency. We expect every team member to be AI-literate, leveraging generative tools and agentic workflows to move faster and work smarter. You won't just use AI; you'll be building the agentic future of construction.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of program management experience, including programs spanning multiple departments with distinct reporting lines.
- Working knowledge of FedRAMP and other compliance frameworks such as SOC, ISO, and CMMC, sufficient to engage credibly with security engineers, auditors, and product teams.
- Experience with change management processes in a regulated environment, balancing audit and control requirements against engineering velocity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate compliance constraints for engineering audiences and engineering constraints for executives.
- Experience with proficient dependency mapping, and hands-on experience utilizing delivery tools like Jira or Linear.
