About this role
Description
Amazon Luna is hiring a Senior Marketing Analytics and Measurement Manager to be the marketing expert in research and measurement — translating marketing context into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners. This role leads measurement across paid media, social/creator marketing, creative testing, and brand research, supporting three core teams: Media, Social, and Brand Strategy. The ideal candidate is an enabler of data-led decisions and a critical partner across all marketing disciplines.
This is an advisory and framework-setting role. You'll partner with BIE, Finance, and Business Strategy to close the marketing measurement gaps — identifying the right metrics at each funnel stage, distinguishing brand measurement from performance KPIs, defining creative testing frameworks, and ensuring every approach reflects how marketing efforts drive outcomes. You are the bridge between data experts, econometrists, business leads and our internal and external agencies.
Key job responsibilities
Measurement & Attribution
- Define measurement requirements and the right metrics for each use case — clearly separating upper-funnel brand metrics from performance KPIs
- Translate marketing strategy into clear attribution requirements for BIE, Finance and business;
- Serve as the marketing measurement SME for brand lift studies and brand health tracking via third-party providers
Social & Creator Analytics
- Build and own the framework for measuring organic social and creator/influencer effectiveness — defining methodologies, metrics, benchmarks, and total media value.
- Measure the interplay between earned (creator), owned (organic social), and paid media to inform budget allocation across channels
Creative Testing & Optimization
- Define the measurement framework for creative performance testing — establishing how ad creative, messaging variants, and format effectiveness are evaluated across channels
- Partner with media and social teams on A/B and multivariate testing design; translate results into optimization recommendations
- Onboard and own the creative pre-testing solution — establishing the methodology, benchmarks, and reporting standards
Brand Research & Measurement
- Own the brand health tracking — defining methodology, cadence, and KPIs for monitoring brand awareness, perception, and consideration
- Lead brand lift study design and interpretation across campaigns; define how brand research insights integrate into media and creative strategy through feedback loops
Experimentation & Learning
- Provide marketing parameters and hypotheses for experimentation design — identifying what to test, which audiences to target, and what success looks like across media, creative, and brand
- Partner with BIE and Data Science on incrementality test design (geo-lift, holdout, matched market), providing the marketing context that shapes test structure and interpretation
- Translate experimentation results into actionable optimization recommendations, connecting statistical findings to marketing decisions
Insights & Stakeholder Translation
- Translate complex measurement data into clear, actionable context for leadership, Finance, and cross-functional partners
- Deliver regular insights on media efficiency, creative performance, brand health, and investment optimization — framing findings in terms stakeholders can act on
- Define reporting requirements and KPI frameworks for BIE dashboards
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as the primary marketing measurement liaison to BIE, Finance and business
- Partner with BIE on attribution model development and with Finance on budget alignment, ensuring models reflect real marketing behavior and connect investment to business outcomes
- Coordinate with external agencies on tagging standards and measurement alignment
