Job Summary:
Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision.
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Albuquerque, NM).

Will make an impact in the following ways:
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
- Brake Systems: Brake inspections, adjustments, repairs, caliper replacement, pads/shoes, rotors/drums, and air brake components.
- Suspension: Inspect and repair springs, shocks, bushings, torque rods, and suspension components.
- Steering: Diagnose and repair steering components, tie rods, drag links, steering boxes, and related hardware.
- Wheel Ends: Hub, bearing, seal, wheel, and lug-related repairs and inspections.
- Axles & Driveline: Diagnose and repair axle components, U-joints, driveshafts, and related driveline components.
- Chassis Electrical: Diagnose wiring, lighting, sensors, ABS, and other chassis electrical systems.
- Frame & Structural: Inspect and repair chassis/frame components and mounting hardware.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform chassis inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and required maintenance.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot chassis-related faults and determine necessary repairs and parts.
- Documentation: Complete accurate repair documentation, parts identification, and safety inspections.
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire - Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older - A current valid license is required for this role - Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations - This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing. Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
