As a Senior Managing SAP Development Architect, you are responsible for defining the overall SAP technical architecture, governing development standards, leading development teams, and ensuring that SAP solutions align with business objectives, enterprise architecture, security, and operational requirements. Internal project documentation and SAP program leadership profiles emphasize responsibilities such as architecture strategy, development governance, integration oversight, technical delivery leadership, and stakeholder management.  Your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Solution Design •    Establish development frameworks, coding standards, and design principles. •    Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture. •    Review and approve high-level and detailed solution designs. 2. Development Leadership •    Lead SAP development teams including ABAP, Fiori, BTP, Integration Suite, Workflow, Forms, and extensions. •    Oversee development planning, estimation, resource allocation, and execution. •    Provide technical direction to development leads and developers. •    Drive issue resolution and technical decision-making across workstreams. 3. Program & Delivery Governance •    Govern the SAP development lifecycle from requirements through deployment. •    Monitor development progress, risks, dependencies, and quality metrics. •    Ensure adherence to release management, transport management, DevOps, and change-control processes. •    Escalate critical technical risks and delivery concerns to program leadership.  4. Integration & Technology Strategy •    Define integration architecture between SAP and non-SAP applications. •    Lead decisions regarding APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, and cloud integrations. •    Ensure interoperability across ERP, CRM, data platforms, analytics, and third-party systems. 5. Quality & Compliance •    Establish code review and quality assurance practices. •    Ensure compliance with security, audit, SOX, GxP, GDPR, and organizational standards as applicable. •    Drive performance optimization and technical debt reduction initiatives. 6. Stakeholder Management •    Work closely with business leaders, functional architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, and program management. •    Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps. •    Present architecture decisions and recommendations to executive stakeholders. 7. Innovation & Transformation •    Evaluate emerging SAP technologies such as:  o    SAP BTP o    AI and Joule capabilities o    SAP Build o    Clean Core strategy o    RISE with SAP o    Automation and DevOps solutions •    Develop modernization roadmaps and transformation strategies.  This role can be performed from anywhere in the US.
