About this role

The Data Analyst IV supports operations and conducts advanced data analytics projects to provide strategic information for decision-making or solution development. Implements and enhances data standards and deploys automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate complex data from various sources. Constructs and manages large-scale data sets, monitors and ensures data quality, troubleshoots and resolves database issues to maintain high levels of data integrity.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Leads and coordinates data development and analytics for Tribal healthcare initiatives.

Summarizes data needs of American Indians and pilots’ healthcare data development.

Inventories data resources, evaluates data needs, and plans/initiates pilot data projects.

Provides technical input for data infrastructure, analytic capacity, and data sovereignty.

Conducts environmental scans and develops comprehensive inventories of healthcare data resources.

Assesses data quality, completeness, and opportunities for linkage across systems.

Prepares management reports, including monthly progress and cost-to-complete reports.

Supports the development of quality measures and analytics for Tribal Nations.

Ensures compliance with federal requirements, including FISMA, Section 508, and records management.

Develops and implements methods for orderly and efficient project task coordination.

Drives the strategic development and execution of large-scale analytics initiatives that align with business goals and deliver measurable impacts.

Develops and deploys advanced predictive and prescriptive models to solve complex business problems and optimize performance.

Leads cross-functional analytics projects, coordinating efforts between departments to achieve unified goals.

Establishes and enforces organizational data quality frameworks, continually striving to enhance data integrity and effectiveness.

Incorporates complex data sources, including unstructured data, into analysis to provide comprehensive insights.

Guides the organization towards a data-centric culture, advocating for data-driven decision-making at all levels.

Utilizes advanced scripting and querying tools like Python, R, or SQL, as well as statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling techniques to produce sophisticated reports, data files, and interactive dashboards.

Mentors junior team members and may act as a team lead.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Masters degree and a minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $118,800 to $155,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
