The Research Manager leads a variety of research projects that support organization objectives, operational improvements, client needs, and strategic decision-making. Oversees research planning, project design, data collection, analysis, and reporting while guiding research teams and coordinating with internal stakeholders, management, clients, and field staff.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

Experience managing field research, survey administration, interviews, focus groups, or observational studies.

Knowledge of research ethics, quality assurance practices, and data privacy standards.

Experience preparing executive-level reports or client-facing presentations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Leads overall project execution for AI adoption in healthcare, ensuring all objectives, deliverables, and milestones are met.

Oversees research, analysis, and technical approaches to evaluate AI performance in healthcare settings.

Coordinates cross-functional teams and manages stakeholder engagement, ensuring integration of findings and continuous improvement.

Manages and leads research projects from planning through completion.

Conducts research on data, products, processes, and/or services to identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaborates with management, clients, and project stakeholders to define research objectives, project purpose, and information needs.

Designs research proposals, including methodology, target audience, geographic quotas, timing, sample size, and project scope.

Develops research plans, timelines, tools, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

Leads and supports research team members in executing project tasks and meeting project goals.

Monitors field staff, vendors, data collection activities, and other project elements necessary for successful completion.

Analyzes research findings and translates data into clear, actionable insights.

Prepares reports, presentations, summaries, and recommendations for management, clients, or other stakeholders.

Ensures research activities are conducted in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, ethical guidelines, and confidentiality requirements.

Tracks project progress, identifies risks or issues, and recommends corrective actions as needed.

Maintains organized project documentation, research records, and data files.

Supports continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to research methods, processes, and tools.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office/clinic/lab setting. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  Regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The work requires light physical exertion. May be required to perform handling activities with lightweight or easily moved items (e.g. books, file folders, boxes of office supplies, small machine parts, lab samples etc.). May perform movement activities for brief periods. May operate light equipment. Must be able to perform repetitive motions for brief periods. May be confined to a work area. The work environment involves moderate hazards, risks or discomforts. Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel.  Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision both near and far. Ability to speak and hear. Ability to identify and distinguish colors. Potential for exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens. May be required to wear safety and personal protective equipment .

The estimated pay range for this role is $210,590 to $230,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
