Overview

Manager Corporate Accounts Payable is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of requests for payment of all types, and accurate payment of liabilities for Davidson Hospitality Group and its managed hotels and resorts. The role is responsible for its own performance of these duties as well as monitoring and guiding the team’s performance. The Manager Corporate Accounts Payable will report to the Director Hotel Accounting.

Responsibilities

When discharging their duties as the Manager of the Accounts Payable team and process, they will ensure that:

- Each team member is properly completing all assigned tasks in a timely, efficient manner, in compliance with established processes and schedules.

- Ensure that prioritization of corrective actions is in place, and that communications are being reviewed and responded to in a timely manner.

- Take the lead in resolving issues escalated by either the Accounts Payable team, properties, or the corporate team.

- Recruit and evaluate Accounts Payable team members.

- Assist the Director Hotel Accounting in the creation of new processes and training materials, as needed.

- Interface on a proactive and ongoing basis with the Director Hotel Accounting regarding all issues associated directly or tangentially with the accounts payable process.

When completing Accounts Payable tasks, the Manager will complete all processes surrounding the generation of payments based on approved processes and methods, including but not limited to:

- Process all properly authorized payments for hotels, resorts and the corporate office in a timely manner based on the approved cycle. And process all off-cycle and corporate payments (with special attention to those requested by corporate Legal, Tax and other departments as directed).

- Respond in a timely and professional manner to all field and corporate team member requests for information and services, based on guidelines.

Qualifications

- Degree from a four-year college preferred, preferably with a concentration in accounting.

- Five years of related experience, preferably in the hotel industry.

- Prior supervisory experience.

- Knowledge of accounts payable, double-entry accounting (debits and credits), accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, ownership reporting, critical accounting systems, cash management, capital expenditures.

- Experience training entry-level team members, and new hires.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
