Job Overview

This role serves as a key technology and business partner supporting commercial and marketing teams through the delivery, optimization, and lifecycle management of marketing technology platforms. The Professional, Marketing Systems translates marketing strategy and business needs into scalable technology solutions, enabling data‑driven decision‑making, improved customer engagement, and operational efficiency across DePuy Synthes’ commercial organization. The role plays a visible part in shaping how technology supports growth, innovation, and customer experience within the orthopedics business and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with marketing and commercial stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate requirements into clear product and system capabilities across marketing platforms (e.g., CRM, campaign management, analytics, content tools).

- Support the end‑to‑end lifecycle of marketing systems, including requirements gathering, solution design support, testing coordination, deployment, and continuous improvement.

- Analyze business processes and user needs to identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness, system usability, data quality, and operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with IT delivery teams, vendors, and platform owners to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with architectural and security standards.

- Support data‑driven marketing by enabling reporting, dashboards, and insights that inform campaign performance, customer engagement, and commercial decision‑making.

- Assist with change management activities, including user training, documentation, communications, and post‑implementation support to drive adoption.

- Monitor system performance and user feedback, recommending enhancements and prioritizing backlog items in partnership with product owners and business leaders.

- Ensure solutions comply with internal governance, data privacy, regulatory, and quality requirements relevant to medical technology and commercial operations.

- Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize commercial platforms, enhancing customer engagement, pricing and revenue optimization, and data‑driven decision‑making while driving scalable and compliant commercial execution across sales, marketing, and customer operations.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MS) preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

- 2–4 years of experience as a technology, business, or product analyst supporting commercial, marketing, or customer‑facing systems within an IT or digital function.

- Hands‑on experience with marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRM systems, marketing automation tools, analytics or reporting platforms), including requirements definition and user support (technical skills).

- Strong ability to translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and process flows that support marketing and commercial outcomes (business skills).

- Working knowledge of data concepts, integrations, and reporting to support campaign performance and customer insights (technical skills).

- Effective collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without authority and work across IT, marketing, and external vendors (leadership skills).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and support change adoption (business and leadership skills).

Preferred:

- Experience supporting global or regional commercial organizations within healthcare, medical devices, or regulated industries.

- Familiarity with Agile or product‑based delivery models, including backlog management and iterative solution delivery (technical and leadership skills).

- Experience working with vendors or system integrators delivering marketing or CRM solutions (business skills).

- Ability to analyze trends and metrics to recommend enhancements that improve marketing effectiveness and user experience (technical and business skills).

- Demonstrated curiosity and learning mindset, with the ability to grow technical depth and product ownership over time (leadership skills).

Other:

- Language: English required; additional languages a plus.

- Travel: Up to 10%, primarily domestic.

- Certifications: Agile, Product Management, CRM, or Marketing Technology certifications preferred

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$94,000.00 - $170,000.00 USD Annual

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
