Job Title: Electronics Assembler Technician Job Description
The Electronics Assembler Technician tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and assembles electronic components and equipment down to the board and component level. This role involves performing bench tests, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and applying electronic troubleshooting theory for AC/DC systems. The work is highly repetitive and detail oriented, requiring careful handling of extremely small components and close collaboration with a technician to assemble and occasionally repair products in a fast-growing production environment.
Responsibilities
- Test electronic components and assemblies down to the board and component level to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Perform bench testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment using appropriate tools, instruments, and diagnostic methods.
- Assemble electronic products and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Apply electronic troubleshooting and repair theory, including AC/DC principles, to identify and resolve issues in electronic circuits and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics to guide assembly, testing, and repair activities.
- Carry out repetitive, detail-oriented assembly tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with a technician to assemble products and perform occasional repairs, ensuring smooth workflow and effective collaboration.
- Handle and work with extremely small electronic components, using appropriate tools and techniques to prevent damage and ensure quality.
- Perform soldering on electronic components and circuit boards in accordance with applicable standards and best practices.
- Assist with wire harness assembly and integration into electronic products where required.
- Conduct electrical testing on assembled units to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Follow established production processes and inspection procedures, ensuring quality checks are completed at all phases of production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the production assembly environment.
- Meet production goals and timelines while upholding strict quality requirements.
- Document work performed and communicate any issues or defects identified during assembly, testing, or repair.
Essential Skills
- At least 35 years of experience performing electrical assembly to the component level.
- Strong ability to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment at the board and component level.
- Practical knowledge of electronic troubleshooting and repair theory, including AC/DC principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics.
- Demonstrated experience performing repetitive, detail-oriented assembly work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work with extremely small electronic components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with soldering electronic components and circuit boards.
- Experience with electrical testing of assembled units in a production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively in a production-driven environment while maintaining quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical school training and degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
- J-STD or IPC-610 soldering certification is preferred.
- Experience with wire harness assembly is preferred.
- Background in production assembly environments, including quality inspection at multiple stages.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all phases of production.
- Ability to collaborate closely with technicians and other team members in a friendly, relaxed, yet production-focused setting.

The organization is growing quickly and is seeking a larger facility to support increasing product volume, offering opportunities to contribute to a scaling operation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newtown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
