He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

As an Air Quality Technician, part of your role will be to help us collect accurate, reliable and consistent Environmental monitoring data, usingcomplex sampling systems and instruments at multiple sites throughout New Zealand. This position focuses on Discharge Stack Emission Testing, but also includes odour monitoring, gas detection and other environmental parameters as required.

Day-to-day you can expect to work on:

- Providing effective site investigations and sampling plans for monitoring
- Operation, maintenance and calibration of equipment (stack emission sampling trains, odour, gas and noise analysers/meters)
- Writing customer reports based on the data collected
- Working closely with a team of air quality technicians Submitting samples for analysis, calculation and reporting of results.

To be considered for this role you will have at least 3 years of relatable experience within this field of monitoring, and a Tertiary qualification in Science (Chemistry or Environmental preferred) or Engineering.

We will also be looking for experience with:

- Advanced technical report writing
- Communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels of an organisation
- ISO 17025 quality requirements within a laboratory environment desirable
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety principles

You will need to have a full driver’s license, and an ability to travel throughout New Zealand.
