About this role
Title: ECF Processor – Electronic Court Filing Support
About the Role
Behind every court deadline met and every case file kept in order is someone doing the quiet, exacting work of processing it correctly the first time. As an ECF Processor, you'll be that person — the detail-driven backbone of our legal operations team, keeping electronic court filings moving accurately and on schedule across our case management systems.
This isn't a role for multitaskers who like to wing it. It's built for people who find genuine satisfaction in precision, structure, and getting high volumes of work done right — every single time.
What You'll Do
- Retrieve electronic court documents from ECF systems and process them promptly
- Review, organize, and upload legal documents into case management platforms
- Keep case records current — deadlines, statuses, notes, and supporting documentation
- Enter and maintain data accurately across CRM and case management tools
- Catch what others might miss: flag incomplete filings or discrepancies before they become problems
- Maintain clean, well-organized electronic case files with reliable document tracking
- Hit daily and weekly productivity and quality benchmarks consistently
- Handle sensitive case information with strict confidentiality and data protection practices
- Take on additional administrative or legal support tasks as the team needs
What You Bring
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree a plus, not a requirement)
- Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Background in data entry, administrative support, or document processing
- Comfort navigating multiple systems and web-based tools simultaneously
- Fast, accurate typing with a sharp eye for detail
- Legal, paralegal, or ECF experience — a plus, not a prerequisite
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Notice the small things others scroll past
- Can handle high-volume, repetitive work without losing accuracy or focus
- Manage your time well and keep your own workflow organized
- Follow detailed procedures carefully — and know when to escalate rather than guess
- Work independently and stay productive under time pressure
- Approach problems calmly and know how to flag issues the right way
Work Setup
- Full-time position
- Aligned with US business hours
- For remote setups: reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace required
Nice to Have
- Paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Background in litigation support or court documentation
- Hands-on familiarity with ECF platforms or case management systems
