Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, distributed software systems and work on other projects that require research, awareness, interactivity and the ability to ask the right questions
- Design, develop, debug, support, maintain and test software applications
- Work closely with other teams across a wide breadth of applications and solutions
- Assist SME in providing consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed with insight into industry best practices, strategies, and architectures; and pursue professional growth
- Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews
- Identify, plan and ensure successful incremental execution of application modernization, re-platform and refactoring efforts
- Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement to a technology solution whether it’s optimizing the performance of the system or identifying tech debt
- Partner with SRE team to deploy and manage data infrastructure on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
- Demonstrate strong customer focus and end-to-end ownership of applications, including participation in incident response activities and post-incident reviews when customer-impacting issues occur.
- Proactively improve quality through collaboration, automation, process improvement and innovative thinking
- Leverage AI-enabled development tools to improve engineering productivity, software quality, development velocity, and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 8+ years of experience managing and deploying commercial software products
- Advanced Linux knowledge
- Strong understanding of triaging data & performance issues and how to resolve them while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency
- Independent thinker able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proven excellence with Java and/or Scala, Python, Spark/PySpark and scripting languages
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in parallel
- Proven experience managing solutions on GCP or AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available
- Proven experience working on large-scale, distributed systems

- SDLC-tooling experience with Maven, Github, Jenkins, Terraform
