We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team and help provide extraordinary care.
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacy department through a variety of routine and advanced technical duties related to the preparation and dispensing of medications in accordance with established procedures and standards. This role also plays an important part in the patient care process through direct patient interaction, including obtaining and documenting medication histories.
Schedule
Full-Time | 80 Hours per Pay Period
Monday - Friday | 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform monthly expiration date monitoring of medications and solutions throughout the facility, ensuring proper storage, labeling, dating, and compliance standards are maintained.
- Inspect and document medication inventories within crash carts, malignant hyperthermia carts, respiratory carts, latex allergy kits, and pediatric emergency boxes.
- Maintain records of controlled and non-controlled medication purchases and inventory.
- Manage anesthesia box records, maintain accurate logbooks, and appropriately file documentation.
- Assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies within Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
- Deliver medications and pharmacy supplies to patient care and ancillary departments.
- Accurately obtain and document medication histories within the electronic medical record, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and nutritional supplements.
- Enter daily pharmacy medication and supply orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification and Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license required.
- Current BLS certification required at the time of hire.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Sterile compounding experience preferred.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
