JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the Director of Golf with the management of daily golf operations, including managing and tracking play, supervising golf staff, managing tournaments, and teaching lessons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

- Assists in administering all point of sales application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.

- Coordinates with Accounting Departments all policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation.

- Reconciles daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receives payments from members and guests. Resolves discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment. Tracks all force posts and no show charges as applicable.

- Promotes all club golf activities.

- Assists in the creation of lesson plans and provides both individual and group instruction. Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop. Assists retail buyer with procurement and merchandise and shop assistants with merchandising and sales.

- Prepares for all golf outings including coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments.

- Monitors all members’ scores, reports handicapping to USGA and bills members.

- Follows established opening and closing procedures.

- Assists with associate training.

- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- High School Diploma or G.E.D.

- PGA Apprentice in good standing – 1 st Assistant Golf Professional

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing , stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.  Also may be subjected to a smoke filled environment.

Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and /or carry otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone
