Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at Flaherty & Collins Properties, youll have the chance to showcase your skills, tackle a variety of tasks, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.

What You'll Do:

- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.

- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.

- Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.

- Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.

- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.

- Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.

- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

- Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.

- Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.

- Perform snow and ice removal.

- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed.

- Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.

- HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus, along with a willingness to learn and grow.

- You have hands-on experience in maintenance, with skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.

- Youre a team player who communicates effectively and works well with others.

- Youre detail-oriented and take pride in delivering high-quality work.

- Youre proactive and enjoy solving problems with practical solutions.

- Youre dependable and flexible, ready to handle after-hours or weekend emergencies when needed.
