Job Description:
The Coordinator for the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service is an integral staff member within the Office of Student Life Ohio Union and Student Activities department. Located within the Ohio Union, the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service (KBK Center) serves as a unique hub for student involvement on campus offering opportunities for students to connect with leadership and service initiatives, utilize meeting spaces, engage with student organizations, and access office supplies and services via the Resource Room. This role manages operations and resources within the Keith B. Key Center for Leadership and Service including the Resource Room’s daily operations and student staff, student organization offices and lockers, meeting spaces, and community building programs in the Center.
Responsibilities:
Resource Room Operations & Student Staff Supervision – 45%
- Supervises approximately 20-25 undergraduate student employees and student managers within the Keith B. Key Center for Leadership and Service. Providing access to supplies, printing, equipment, and other resources in support of registered student organizations, university departments, and individual students.
- Oversees student employee recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
- Establishes and monitors customer service and operational standards to ensure consistent, efficient, and welcoming service.
- Manages Resource Room inventory, supplies, equipment, and service procedures, including assessment of usage and implementation of appropriate resource limits in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Involvement.
- Evaluates and improves workflows to promote operational efficiency and responsible stewardship of resources.
- Monitors all Keith B. Key Center for Leadership and Service expenses and provides budgetary support in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Involvement.
Coca-Cola Donation Program Management – 30%
- Serves as program manager and primary campus liaison for the Coca-Cola Donation Program, supporting student organizations, university departments, and campus programs.
- Supervises the Coca-Cola Beverage Donation Program student manager to review product requests, send communication, manage distribution, and data collection processes.
- Maintains regular communication with Coca-Cola and university stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact and supporting effective stewardship of the partnership.
- Monitors program utilization, maintains records and reporting, and evaluates processes to support efficient and equitable distribution of available resources.
- Addresses escalated program concerns related to request denials and product delivery.
KBK Center & Student Organization Tenant Operations – 20%
- Manages the Student Organization Tenant Program, supporting the operational and space needs of more than 100 student organization office and locker tenants.
- Oversees the tenant application and selection process, space assignments, tenant agreements, communication, and ongoing tenant support.
- Develops and maintains policies, procedures, and systems that promote equitable and effective use of tenant spaces and resources.
- Coordinates community-building and educational initiatives for tenant organizations, including information sessions, Open House activities, and other programs designed to connect organizations with available resources.
Miscellaneous – 5%
- Supports the Student Org Team with annual registration requirements as needed.
- Attends weekly department and team meetings.
- Contributes to department strategic planning efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Education Desired: Master's Degree
Required Qualifications:
Required : Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; customer service experience.
Years of relevant experience required : 3
Preferred minimum years of relevant experience : 4-8
Desired : Master’s degree in higher education and student affairs or related field; facility and operations management experience; experience overseeing and streamlining processes and procedures; experience working with college students at a large collegiate institution; stakeholder management experience; demonstrated skill in working with diverse communities and cultural groups; program planning experience.
Additional Information:
The pay range for this role is $48,000-$53,000. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
