About this role

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Logistician to support a U.S. Air Force Program Office . This position is based in Dayton, OH supporting Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

- Coordinate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and product support elements including supply support, maintenance planning, support equipment, facilities, technical data, provisioning, training, manpower and personnel, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T).
- Support development and implementation of weapon system lifecycle sustainment and supportability strategies consistent with Government acquisition objectives.
- Develop, review, and maintain logistics and product support documentation including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs), Integrated Support Plans (ISPs), Technical Orders (TOs), technical manuals, electronic technical manuals, Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis (RCMA), and related logistics documentation.
- Perform logistics support analyses addressing Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Cost (RAM-C), supportability, life cycle cost, maintenance, supply support, and system sustainment requirements.
- Analyze Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), parts availability, supply chain deficiencies, lead times, sources of repair, and other sustainment risks and recommend corrective actions or suitable replacements.
- Support Government Furnished Property (GFP), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), Support Equipment (SE), and related asset management activities, including requirements analysis, tracking, configuration, purchasing, budgeting, and availability.
- Support technical data management activities including engineering data, Technical Orders, commercial manuals, verification planning, configuration control, data requirements, data rights, and technical data libraries.
- Review and analyze Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Deficiency Reports (DRs), technical order changes, engineering dispositions, and other technical or logistics changes for potential sustainment and supply chain impacts.
- Support acquisition and sustainment activities throughout the weapon system lifecycle, including development, production, deployment, operations and support, depot maintenance, modification, and post-production support.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain logistics, maintenance, acquisition, technical, financial, and supply data to support Government decision-making.
- Support program reviews, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), logistics reviews, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), site surveys, technical reviews, and other Government meetings and working groups.
- Prepare reports, briefings, analyses, program documentation, and recommendations supporting acquisition logistics and sustainment activities.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior and journeyman personnel within the logistics discipline, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

- Master’s degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in DoD
- Possess advanced knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability within the logistics technical/professional discipline, including the ability to independently perform complex tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel.
- Demonstrated comprehensive understanding and application of applicable logistics standards, procedures, and practices supporting Program Office, Enterprise, and Staff-level activities.
- Experience with acquisition logistics, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), product support, lifecycle sustainment, logistics support analysis, supply support, maintenance planning, technical data, and configuration management.
- Experience analyzing weapon system logistics requirements, sustainment risks, supportability issues, and supply chain concerns and developing actionable recommendations.
- Experience developing, reviewing, or maintaining logistics and product support documentation.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, organizational, and program support skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoW Tier 3 Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience supporting U.S. Air Force weapon system acquisition and sustainment programs.
- Experience developing or reviewing LCSPs, ILSPs, ISPs, Technical Orders, technical manuals, and other logistics support documentation.
- Experience with DMSMS, RAM-C, GFP/GFE, Support Equipment, supply chain management, depot maintenance, and post-production support.
- Experience supporting technical data management, Technical Order management, logistics databases, or Government electronic technical management systems.
- Experience supporting depot activation, Source of Repair activities, Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), or Source Maintenance Recoverability (SMR) analysis.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with Air Force program offices, engineering organizations, supply activities, maintainers, and other acquisition and sustainment stakeholders.
