Your Impact:

We are looking for a dynamic, technically strong, and highly hands-on Senior Manager to lead our AI-driven product development team. This role is built for a leader who is as comfortable architecting and prototyping AI-powered systems as they are setting direction, growing talent, and driving delivery across teams. You will own the technical vision and execution for AI-first products built on modern cloud and SaaS platforms, while directly building strong, high-performing engineering teams. This is a role for someone who leads from the front technically, not just organizationally — someone who can go deep with engineers on architecture and model integration, while also thinking like a product owner about customer value and business impact.

What the roles offer:

- Own the technical strategy and hands-on execution for AI-first product initiatives, including model integration, LLM/agentic workflows, and production-grade AI systems
- Directly engage in architecture reviews, design decisions, and, where needed, hands-on coding/prototyping to unblock teams and set technical bar
- Lead, grow, and directly manage a team of engineers and engineering managers, building a culture of technical excellence and ownership
- Partner closely with Product Management to translate customer and market opportunity into a compelling AI-powered product roadmap
- Drive end-to-end product development on cloud and SaaS platforms — from design through scalable, secure, multi-tenant production deployment
- Champion modern engineering practices: CI/CD, microservices, cloud-native architecture, observability, and responsible/ethical AI development
- Set and track team goals, cascade organizational priorities, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery with strong risk management
- Build and maintain strong relationships across Product, Design, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders
- Own hiring, talent development, and performance management to build a bench of strong technical and AI talent
- Stay ahead of the fast-evolving AI landscape and proactively bring new tools, models, and practices into the organization

What you need to succeed:

- 14+ years in software engineering, with 7+ years in people leadership and demonstrated experience managing managers
- Deep, current hands-on AI expertise — building and shipping products using LLMs, generative AI, ML pipelines, or agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, RAG architectures, vector databases, prompt/context engineering, fine-tuning)
- Strong hands-on technical foundation: proficient in one or more modern languages (Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript), cloud-native architecture, and microservices
- Proven experience building and scaling SaaS/multi-tenant products on a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Track record of deep product-building ownership — partnering with Product/Design from concept through launch, not just execution against specs
- Strong people leadership: mentoring and developing engineers and managers, setting technical vision, and building high-trust, high-performing teams
- Solid grounding in agile methodologies, DevOps/CI-CD, and running multiple engineering teams simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex AI/technical concepts for executive and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable experience

- Cloud certification(s) with one or more hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure), particularly in AI/ML services
- Experience with MLOps practices — model deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and responsible AI governance
- Background in a high-growth SaaS or platform company scaling engineering and AI capabilities
- Experience with containerization/orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and event-driven/microservice architectures
- Prior experience as a founding or early technical leader on an AI product
