Your impact

As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at OpenText, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our cloud-hosted applications and database platforms. Leveraging your expertise across cloud infrastructure, database administration, automation, and application delivery, you will help build and maintain resilient solutions that support business-critical services. Working closely with Development, Professional Services, and Client Support teams, you will drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation across our cloud environments.

What the role offers

- Ownership of Oracle and PostgreSQL database administration across production and non-production SaaS environments hosted primarily on AWS
- Opportunity to lead database resiliency, disaster recovery, migration, and high-availability initiatives
- Hands-on involvement with cloud technologies, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure modernization
- Collaboration with Developing, Professional Services, and Client Support teams to improve platform stability and service performance
- Exposure to complex cloud application architectures, containerized environments, and Kubernetes-based deployments
- Participation in critical operational activities including troubleshooting, production support, scheduled maintenance, and on-call rotations

What you need to succeed

- 7-9 years of experience supporting cloud applications, platforms, and enterprise database environments
- Strong hands-on expertise administering Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including backup and recovery, replication, performance tuning, upgrades, and high-availability configurations
- Experience with AWS cloud services, including RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM
- Strong automation and scripting skills using tools and languages such as Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GitLab, or Concourse
- Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows administration, cloud infrastructure, security principles, and networking concepts
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in fast-paced environments
