The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Data Products Manager to join our Data Insights Team. The successful candidate will own a portfolio of data products, including curated datasets, dashboards, analytical models and data services. Working closely with a team of Data Analysts to design, build and continuously improve data products that enable the delivery of Allianz Ireland's reporting, analytical and AI objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Insurance professional to help shape how the Company treats data as a product and drives value from its data strategy.

We are looking for a great communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, who will translate business needs into well-defined data products, prioritise effectively and ensure those products are trusted, adopted and deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Head of Data Insights in defining and delivering a portfolio of data products aligned with the Company’s strategic objectives

- Collaborate with stakeholders across various business functions to identify Data Use Cases and define business requirements

- Shape the vision, strategy and roadmap for the data product portfolio, prioritising based on business value, effort and risk, with regular updates to the Data and AI Steering Board

- Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Analysts to plan and deliver product increments using agile methodologies and ways of working

- Take responsibility for complex data initiatives, making technical decisions and driving delivery from requirements through to implementation

- Develop, maintain and enhance management information dashboards and operational and strategic performance reports, ensuring data is accurate, timely, consistent and effectively presented

- Define and track success measures for each data product – including usage, adoption, data quality and business outcomes – and use these insights to drive continuous improvement

- Promote reuse and consistency by developing shared data assets, common definitions and standards.

- Build strong relationships within the business, understanding current challenges and emerging trends, including AI and advanced analytics, that will influence the data product roadmap

Experience and Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge and understanding of the General Insurance Property & Casualty business operations and data.

- Solid understanding of data concepts including data modelling, data warehousing/lakehouse platforms, BI tools and data governance

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various business functions

- Strong organisational and change management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and work independently, managing a high volume of tasks and deadlines

- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

- Strong story-telling/presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the value of data products to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Experience with AI and Machine Learning use cases would be beneficial
