About this role
Position Description: The Girls’ Middle School Assistant Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting in development of a competitive, values-based basketball program that reflects the mission and educational philosophy of Wichita Collegiate School.
The primary responsibilities
• Ability to work the entire girls basketball season; October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
• Daily practice, Monday through Friday from 4:00PM - 6:00PM.
• Managing a schedule of games for Middle School Girls Basketball Team.
• Transporting players with school vehicles to area games.
• Teach and mentor students of different skill levels.
• Any other duties assigned by the head coach.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and at least three years of work-related experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ideal candidates demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Knowledge of the sport of Basketball.
• Ability to manage student behavior and participation.
• Ability to actively coach on the court during practices and games.
• Ability to lift and move athletic equipment when needed.
Work Environment: This is a part-time, stipend coaching role. The primary work location is the Middle School gym on Wichita Collegiate School campus.
