About this role
Job Objective:
Support the Corporate Finance team with financial modeling, forecasting, capital planning, strategic analysis, and other finance initiatives. The intern will gain hands-on experience as a contributing member of the Finance team while partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other areas of the business.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of financial models and forecasts, including the Company corporate model.
- Support monthly reporting, budget and forecast preparation, capital planning, quarterly activity reviews, G&A analysis, and other ad hoc financial analysis.
- Analyze financial and operational information to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers that support management decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on finance and operational initiatives, including monthly accounting processes and planning activities.
Strategic Finance & Transaction Support
- Support financial and strategic analysis for potential transactions, investments, and other corporate initiatives.
- Assist with analysis related to capital structure, debt market activity, financing alternatives, liquidity, and strategic capital management.
- Support acquisition and other investment analysis in coordination with the broader Finance and A&D teams, as applicable.
- Prepare and monitor peer company data, market information, and relevant industry research for comparison, variance analysis, and periodic updates.
Presentation & Stakeholder Support
- Assist with preparation of presentation materials for executive leadership, regional leadership, and internal projects.
- Create and update reports and presentations used in discussions with banks, investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other external stakeholders, as applicable.

Qualifications:
- Available to work the full summer internship period (May-August).
- Strong interest in corporate finance, financial analysis, and the oil and gas/energy industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to financial modeling, data analysis, or other financial tools is a plus.

Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
