About this role

Distribution Engineering is seeking a highly motivated employee to join its SCADA team. Use of SCADA technology is quickly expanding and has many opportunities to make a valuable contribution to the efficient operation of the Distribution System. The successful candidate must be energetic and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to our Code of Conduct and The Way We Work. Responsible for the Distribution SCADA System development with the goal to continuously improve the reliability, safety, and flexibility of the Distribution System. Must be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and working with Engineers performing lab testing. Must be able to collaborate with Engineers and IT to develop analytics and reporting dashboards to support various organizations in Electric Operations.

Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and minimum 1 year of experience which includes cumulative full-time work or equivalent internship/co-op experience. Six months of Con Edison co-op or internship experience.

Relevant Work Experience
- One year relevant experience (includes co-op or internships), required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, required.
- Must demonstrate ability to accept challenges and solve problems, required.
- Must exercise good judgment and render sound decisions, required.
- Must demonstrate a positive work ethic in support of the Companys Corporate Values and Missions, required.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, required.
- Must be well organized, detail orientated and flexible to handle multiple assignments, required.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with company employees, required.
- Ability to draft, edit and proofread memos, presentations and board reports as required.

Licenses and Certifications
- Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
