Link’s 10-week paid summer internship program helps students gain valuable experience and develop business skills while learning the basics of logistics real estate. We offer internships in a variety of departments including Capital Markets, Corporate Communications, Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investments, Asset Management and more.
Link is looking for a motivated Credit Risk Summer Intern to join the team in Chicago. This intern will support credit analysis and portfolio monitoring while gaining hands-on exposure to commercial real estate, tenant underwriting and credit risk management. The role is well suited for a student who enjoys working with financial data, identifying trends and translating analysis into clear business recommendations.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze borrower and tenant financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Conduct initial credit reviews and prepare concise written credit summaries
- Calculate and monitor key financial metrics, credit indicators and covenant compliance.
- Review public filings, industry data and other relevant sources to support credit assessments.
- Maintain accurate customer financial records and assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Foundational knowledge of financial statement analysis and corporate finance concepts.
- Prior internship, research, coursework or project experience in finance, banking, commercial real estate or accounting preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in credit underwriting, risk management or commercial real estate.
- Strong analytical, organizational and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a professional environment.
$30/hour represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
